My tastes in writing, reading, and editing are eclectic, spanning middle grade to adult, heartfelt contemporary to fast-paced adventures and immersive fantasy worlds. I’m a firm believer in learning the rules so you can break them—which perhaps explains why my debut YA sci-fi, What We Have Tamed, is a genre-bending, fiction-nonfiction hybrid with suspense, romance, animal science, and a deeply emotional core. My faithful assistants, Laika and Togo, keep my legs warm, my clothes hairy, and my mind inspired to create a better world for humans and animals alike.
